Junior Design Engineer

Source Solutions are proud to be working with a highly successful and continually growing global manufacturer within the electronics space, who operate cutting edge technology within a fascinating environment and a culture of continuous improvement, in identifying an enthusiastic Junior Design Engineer for their Portsmouth head office.
This position will be product-focused, designing components from scratch, producing engineering drawings and taking the product through various processes including testing and FEA. All products are designed for use in harsh or critical environments and designed bespoke for their clients’ systems and solutions and so there is a detailed product development process that the Junior Design Engineer will be introduced to (as well as numerous manufacturing processes).
This position would suit either an enthusiastic graduate with a genuine passion for engineering design (perhaps on who develops their own side-projects) or a graduate with a couple/few years’ experience in-industry who is looking to further develop their skills in a quality and detail-focused company who operate a fascinating and cutting edge environment.
Candidate profile:
* Degree in Product/Engineering design or similar (such as Mechanical Engineering)
* Attitude This is the most important aspect, candidates need to be enthusiastic and eager to learn
* Ideally some form of experience in-industry within a junior design or technician role – industry/market not important
* Experience of either Creo or Solidworks (Creo preferred but not essential)
