At Hestia, we are guided by our core values and are dedicated to fostering an equitable, diverse, and inclusive organisation. The service you will work in….
Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk offenders, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated, enthusiastic staff team, playing a key role in pro-social modelling, rehabilitation and community reintegration for those ready to make positive choices. Working closely with Offender Managers and community services, we provide a steppingstone from prison into the community.
The residents we work with come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances, but all have been released from prison on Licence, effectively serving the final part of their sentence in the community.
Referrals are received through a central referral system operated by London division of the National Probation Service. Residents are seen on a daily basis and staff become involved in the resident's life to a very high degree: giving advice and offering support whilst exercising control and supervision, all the time liaising with the rest of the probation service and a wide range of agencies. This allows staff and residents to work together to continue on a journey of recovery and achieve meaningful, positive change.
