The Engineering Manager is responsible for
1. Maintaining and repairing all crane and mobile engineering equipment to the OEM and legislative requirements
2. Facility management
The role is to ensure that all engineering work within the Engineering Manager's control is executed with HSE and quality at the forefront. You will provide technical advice and support to all areas of the business and manage individuals and multi skilled teams. The position also has budget (OPEX/CAPEX) responsibility and you will keep this in line with company KPI’s.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain relations with internal and external stakeholders on engineering accountabilities
* Lead, motivate, communicate, develop, appraise the team’s performance
* Implement new ideas and methods and continue to seek ways of improving contribution to the organisation’s goals
* Ensure the levels of availability and quality required for the entire useful life of assets are retained and continuously improved
* Investigations, root cause analysis, approve and implement corrective actions to resolve engineering issues, eliminating recurrence and continuously improving working practices
* Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance activities, and implementation of improvements, according to health, safety, quality, and economy.
* Contractor management and selection
* Management and control of department asset OPEX spend, and maintenance CAPEX spend.
Experience & Qualifications:
* NEBOSH/IOSH certified
* HNC/D or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical qualification equivalent
* Evidence of having a developed, structured, forward thinking management skill set for both personal and departmental growth.
* Proven track record of implementing, developing and using technology to make data driven decisions and analysis.
* Experience in managing multiple teams, trades, skill sets with a variety of communication methods.
* Energised to continuously seek innovations that will improve the maintenance strategy.
* Experience in the heavy industrial environments including Steel, Marine, Port, Fabrication etc.
Additional:
* Must be able to drive and travel around the Humberside area - multi site, Humber regional position
