As a Material Planner you will ensure that material requirements are scheduled for delivery from suppliers in a quantity and on a date to support our service to customers. We have been building world class machinery at Desford manufacturing facility for over 60 years. Our facility in Stockton are a fabrication plan supply for finished goods in Desford.
What you will do:
• Ensuring that deliveries take place on the correct date, in the correct containers, in the quantity specified. Dealing with any delivery discrepancies to resolve.
• Validating that supplier schedules meet the facilities demands and collaborate with supplier to ensure continued material availability. •
• Initiating, coordinating, and participating in activities to ensure optimum inventory levels.
• Being involved with, as necessary, the scheduling and control of onward ship material.
• Performing all tasks to CPS levels of performance.
• Coordinating and managing returnable stillages.
• Weekly reporting on key performance indicators.
• Supporting supply chain manager with master scheduling duties where required.
• Coordinating and managing engineering changes.
• Any additional tasks in line with material management. NB. The panel cannot make assumptions when shortlisting therefore please demonstrate your qualifications and experience on your CV relevant to the criteria outlined. What you will have (required qualifications):
• Previous experience of working with a Material Planning role or supply chain
• Supplier Management Experience
• Knowledge of MRP
• Excellent Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Microsoft skills
• Self-Motivated with Excellent Attention to detail Top Candidates will also have:
• Experience within a Manufacturing environment
