Engineering Stores Person (8-month FTC - Maternity Cover) Location - Sherburn-in-ElmetShifts - Days (Monday - Friday)Key Responsibilities Receive and verify incoming goods and materials against purchase ordersLabel, store, and organise items appropriately within the warehouseMaintain accurate inventory records using the company's stock management systemIssue materials and components to engineers as requiredKeep the stores area clean, safe, and well-organisedCarry out regular stocktakes and cycle counts, resolving discrepanciesPrepare, package, and dispatch outgoing shipmentsEnsure full compliance with health and safety standardsSupport continuous improvement initiatives within the stores department Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience in an engineering stores or materials handling roleBasic understanding of engineering components and their usesExperience in stock control procedures, including stocktakingStrong numeracy and accurate record-keeping skillsConfident IT user with experience in Excel, inventory systems, and purchasing softwareExcellent organisational skills and attention to detailAble to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamPhysically fit and capable of handling warehouse duties safelyStrong commitment to health and safety practices Personal Attributes Detail-focused with a methodical approachPractical, hands-on and proactiveFlexible and able to adapt to changing workloadsTakes pride in maintaining an organised, efficient stores environment Hours of Work Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 16:30 Salary £27,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience) Benefits 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (with opportunities to earn extra based on length of service)Company pension schemeEmployee discount Learning and development opportunitiesFree onsite parkingHealth & Wellbeing support Cycle to work scheme If you are interested in this position please feel free to apply or contact Jay Hextall via: orJBRP1_UKTJ
