Job Description: We are seeking an exceptional Head of Design to join our dynamic team. This is a pivotal role, responsible for overseeing the design process of our most prestigious projects. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing high-value residential projects, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to maintain and enhance client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of design managers to ensure the highest standards of design excellence.
* Oversee the entire design process, from concept to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, demonstrating superior client-facing skills and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Identify and resolve any design issues, ensuring that the main contractor's interests are always protected.
* Foster a collaborative environment, encouraging creativity and innovation within the design team.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure our designs are at the cutting edge.
* Drive continuous improvement in design processes and practices.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience working on super prime residential projects valued at £55m m or more with some of the best in the world.
* Proven ability to manage and inspire a team of design managers.
* Exceptional client-facing skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to ensure the main contractor's interests are protected.
* High energy and drive, with a passion for delivering outstanding design.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Relevant qualifications in architecture, interior design, or a related field.
