Spinwell is recruiting for a Site Manager for an excellent opportunity within the private sector.
* The project is complete surfacing rehabilitation work at the Mount Pleasant Airfield, include the establishment of the site asphalt batching plant (by specialist sub-contractor). previous experience in asphalt works is essential
* Accommodation is free issue military accommodation and of very basic standard
* All food is free and of good basic standard
* Alcohol is restricted on base to a set quantity each week
* Previous experience of working on a military or civil airfield is essential (we won’t have time to bring someone up to speed with airfield skills during the project)
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE SITE MANAGER
* Reporting to our Project Manager
* Ensure daily task briefings are undertaken
* Preparation of method statement/ Risk Assessment
* Quality control, completing ITP’s
* Planning activities for the following shift(s)
* Detailed record keeping (Daily Diaries/ change control/ subcontractors’ outputs/ weather)
* Overall responsibility for site safety on a day to day basis
* Liaising with the client and other key Stakeholders
