Our National Logistics client are looking for a Transport Planner to join them on the night shift of Sunday to Thursday and run a fleet of drivers and vehicles throughout the night.
Salary up to £30k DEO
Working hours are:
Sunday 18:00-06:00 
Monday – Thursday 21:00-06:00
Training provided on day shift
Permanent role
Progression opportunities
Your main duties and responsibilities will be:
§  Daily communication with drivers – ensuring all drivers are manifested and de-briefed.
§  Daily checking of operational tools such and driver tracking
§  Ensuring all drivers are logged on and correctly using the systems, communicating non-compliance and escalation if needed
§  Allocating driver resources to plan -
Liaising with third-party contractors whilst on site including subcontractors, agency, and maintenance providers
End of day checks, making sure all keys are securely stored
Communicating any absences, VOR etc to the team§  Driver card and truck downloads
You must be:
Reliable
Trustworthy
A great communicator
Able to multi-task
Have attention to detail
Work on your own initiative
Ability to work independently
A decision makerIdeally you will have experience in transport, planning, logistics and customer service however training can be provided for the right candidate with transferable skills.
