The PMO Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the Project Management Office (PMO) functions, ensuring projects align and are prioritised with organisational goals and financial objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in improving the performance of projects management and a deep understanding of financial principles, enabling them to manage resources effectively, mitigate risks, and deliver value.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the PMO, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Develop and implement PMO processes, methodologies, and standards to improve project performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with finance and project teams to ensure project budgets are accurately forecasted, tracked, and reported.
  • Monitor and report on project performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and other team members within the PMO, ensuring that lessons learnt are adopted.
  • Facilitate stakeholder communication and engagement, ensuring alignment and support for project initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO to enhance project delivery and financial performance.

 

Qualifications:

  • Qualification in Finance, e.g. CIMA, CFA is highly desirable
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
  • Experience of PMO leadership role overseeing delivering to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset.
