About the Role:
Your role is to support the SEN Teacher in providing high-quality care and education to young children, promoting their wellbeing and development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:
Plan and deliver individualised lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with a range of special educational needs.
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and development.
Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing personalised feedback and strategies for improvement.
Collaborate with mainstream teachers, support staff, and external professionals to develop and implement effective support plans.
Engage with parents and carers to ensure open communication and a cohesive approach to each child's education.
Participate in school events, activities, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements of a SEN Teacher Assistant:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to manage behaviour effectively
A positive attitude and a willingness to collaborate
Flexibility and adaptability
Registrations required to be a Primary Teacher:
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, but if you do not have one, you can apply for a new one through Educate.
You must register with the EWC (Education Workforce Council) to work in Wales.
