The Role:

ARC International Design Consultants is experiencing continuous success in managing diverse projects within our expanding portfolio. In light of this growth, we are seeking an experienced Architect who is keen to take on a Bid Manager role with us in London.


We are seeking this architectural skillset within the Bid Manager role to ensure that our bid & tender management process has strong technical QA/QC and architectural understanding built into it. We recognise these skills do not always co-exist, and so are happy to provide training and development on bid management skillsets to the successful candidate.


We encourage applications from Architects who would like to take on a Bid Management position and develop their skills in this space, or from existing Bid Managers who possess Architectural or Engineering backgrounds.



Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documentation and lead the development of tender proposals.
  • Review and QC technical sections of tenders utilising architectural knowledge
  • Research to understand project scope, objectives, and constraints.
  • Create a detailed list of clarifications, exclusions & and compliance on a per-project basis.
  • Coordinate with the project managers to incorporate their input into the proposal.
  • Organise and compile all required documents for tender submission.
  • Support in the cost and price calculation – checking alignment with the tender’s requests.
  • Ensure that tender submissions meet deadlines and comply with tendering guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of tender activities, communication, and documentation.


Candidate Profile:

  • Trained as an architect or engineer with strong understanding of architectural principles and project management concepts
  • 7+ years experience
  • Previous experience in or understanding of architectural tendering
  • Knowledge of the architectural industry’s standards and practices.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Good writing skills, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task - communicating with multiple stakeholders and working on different tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking in English
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and InDesign.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture or engineering field
