Responsibilities
Respond immediately to equipment and machinery failure, conducting systematic, rigorous and accurate root cause analysis (fault finding)nCarry out Preventative Maintenance Tasks as schedulednDetermine cause of potential failures or performance deterioration and if possible complete remedial work or escalate to Operational Management with issue ,cause and recommended solutionnBe aware of all incidents from other shifts and work with Operational Management to promptly implement solutions to prevent reoccurrencenEnsure equipment is handed back to production in 100% safe conditionnKeep maintenance and breakdown records of all Operational machinerynMonitoring of spares levels and report when stocks are lownManage Statutory Equipment on site i.e. fire alarm, security systemsnContribute to specific projects as assigned by Senior ManagementnRegularly observe the operation of all equipment, identifying causes of reduction in output, yield losses or quality problems. Developing and recommending solutions to Continually Improve the operational performance of all equipment and Machinery.
QualitynInformation/feedback – understand the need for documentation, its control and trace ability for all operational equipmentnMaintain good housekeeping working to the principles of , Good Engineering Practices, Lean Manufacturing , 5S and TQMnUnderstand Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventative Action (CAPA) system in problem solvingnUnderstand working parameters of machines and principles of Planned Preventative Maintenance, product specification conformity, QC checking/recording/reporting and traceability.nQuality of finished Goods, Non Conformance and Completion Rates
Performance
Understand the capability/capacity of the operations department processesnUnderstand machine rates, SPC and Performance OEEnUnderstanding of department targets and objectives.nCapable of root cause analysis to predict and eliminate operational problemsnUtilization of Continuous Improvement Techniques at all times throughout Factory
Health & Safety
Act on and monitor actions as instructed by Senior/Line Manager.nMonitor H&S actions, report faults to HSEQ ManagernPPE compliancenConduct Risk Assessments prior to any maintenance work, ensuring hazard are mitigated to a safe levelnEnsure Compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental Legislation
Skills and Experience
A relevant qualification in engineeringnFault finding knowledge on; motors / sensors / panel equipment / bearings / cylinders / valvesnAbility to read electrical / mechanical drawings and fault find from them.nComputer literate (MS Office)
