In your first few weeks in this coach building HGV fitter/mechanic role, you can expect to:
Strip and rebuild Volvo HGV class 1 and 2 vehicles
Strip interior and exterior cab
Modifications to covert to an Armoured HGV
Removing base vehicle equipment and work within small cells fitting/integrating new parts/equipment.
Drilling and lifting and the use of an overhead crane
Mostly mechanical but some basic electrical work at times such as connecting and looming.
Work on standardising all reference vehicles in line with project milestones
To apply for this Coach builder HGV Fitter/Mechanic role, you will need:
Experience as a Coach builder, HGV fitter, PSV Fitter or Vehicle Technician.
Vehicle conversation would also be advantageous
OEM track experience could also be considered.
Vehicle bodywork
An affinity for and understanding of the design, engineering and manufacturing challenges of working with vehicles, ideally military vehicles
Level 3 in heavy or light commercials
You'll receive an excellent contract per hour rate of £19.00 PAYE or £25.00 umbrella/Ltd per hour in return for your knowledge, expertise and flexibility.
