What You'll Do

Principal Asset Management is seeking an

Investment Operations Associate

to join their London office on a permanent basis. This role offers an opportunity to support the lifecycle of investments in a global infrastructure.

Here are a few examples of the kinds of things you’ll do:nDaily reconciliation of custody holdings and cash across multiple fundsnInvestigate and resolve daily collateral disputesnSupporting Finisterre Capital’s growing emerging market portfolio as well as the wider PGIE tradingnEnsure collateral margin calls/returns are exchanged within the contractual timeframenMake sure the delivery and receipt of collateral transactions are actioned and settled on timenInvestigate and resolve daily collateral disputesnSupport global investment initiatives through active participation in projects, development and implementation of new initiatives, process reviews and/or system enhancements

Who You ArenUndergraduate degree or equivalent work experiencenPreferably 5-7 years’ experience working in investment / mutual fund operationsnStrong product knowledge on TRS, IRS & XCCY IRS, Credit, Cash, FX (Options, Forwards and NDFs), FuturesnStrong background in Collateral Operations - especially for OTC, ETD, Central clearing, UMR & Non-UMR and Bilateral MarginingnStrong understanding is required in reconciling multiple Custody accounts - Positions and Cash holdingsnDetailed oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skillsnExperience in using Charles River APEX and Arcadia is desirablenExperience in the sell-side is advantageousnSQL, Python, VBA desirable
