Role Overview:
As a Minibus Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and timely transportation of students to and from the Pupil Referral Unit. You will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism, contributing to the well-being and success of our pupils.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport students to and from the Pupil Referral Unit, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
Conduct daily vehicle inspections and ensure the minibus is well-maintained and clean.
Assist students in boarding and disembarking the minibus, ensuring their safety at all times.
Establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering a supportive and welcoming environment.
Maintain accurate records of journeys, vehicle maintenance, and any incidents.
Report any vehicle issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel promptly.Requirements:
Proven experience as a Minibus Driver, preferably in an educational setting.
Full, clean UK driving licence with D1 category entitlement.
A valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) is desirable.
Excellent knowledge of Wakefield and surrounding areas.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
