The role:
Our client need a Caretaker to support the Facilities Team within a Further Education College. You will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality of the campus facilities. Your duties will include cleaning classrooms, hallways, and possibly other facilities, performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks; ensuring the security of buildings by locking and unlocking doors; managing waste disposal; and sometimes overseeing the work of cleaning staff. This role is a long term sickness cover.
Our Client:
Our client is graded GOOD by OFSTED and is one of the biggest education providers in the North of England. They look after approximately 11,000 students across 5 campuses each year. The education provider strives to create a friendly and progressive working environment and likes to support staff in continued professional development to build skills to progress in their chosen careers.
What you need:
Have a Paper Copy of an Enhanced DBS. The DBS must have been checked against the Child Barring Service - This is non-negotiable
Some experience working within an Estates or Facilities team
A basic construction skills qualification, for example carpentry, multi-skills, plastering, CSCS
Good timekeeping skills
Availability to start work right away
