Credit Controller

About the role:
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, we are seeking a diligent and experienced Sales Ledger / Credit Controller who can quickly integrate into the team and make an immediate impact. You will be part of a successful group of companies, working within a small, supportive team. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a drive to achieve results.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Processing daily banking transactions
* Performing bank reconciliations
* Posting entries in the cashbook
* Allocating incoming cash payments
* Creating sales invoices and issuing credit notes
* Setting up and managing new customer accounts
* Applying and monitoring customer credit limits
* Sending out monthly statements to customers
* Generating sales reports and debtor reports for month-end management accounts, along with any other required ad-hoc reports
Essential Skills:
* In-depth knowledge of accounting and costing processes
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Strong commercial awareness
* Proficient in advanced Excel, with solid skills in PowerPoint and Word
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Adaptable and committed to continuous learning to meet evolving business demands
* Strong communication skills, able to engage effectively with both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders
* Team player with proven people management abilities
* Ambitious and dedicated to advancing within the Group as it grows and evolves
