Senior Product Manager

Overview: Lead and manage overall development of the water supply and drainage category within the commercial building sector. Responsible for identifying, validating, and researching new products, systems and opportunities from concept to launch to deliver business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish a robust process to land strategic projects, whether new product launches or new markets.
* Regular research to understand market size, understand trends, legislation changes and other factors which will help us to deliver winning portfolios.
* Work closely with key stakeholders to identify market opportunities, provide support with validating opportunities and present business cases to the senior management teams to progress into development projects.
* Manage the early investigation and development phases of key strategic projects.
* Manage the introduction (launch) of new products within our business portfolio, working with stakeholders to devise launch activities.
* Devise yearly product strategies and contribute to overall business strategy.
* Create capex requests for new products when required.
* Conduct ROI analysis on new developments to ensure targets are met.
* Lead development process, allocating programme of works and driving developments so they are launched on time and with excellence.
* Developing and harnessing strategic business relationships with customers and or suppliers.
Skills & Requirements:
* Candidates must have experience as a product or category manager to be considered for this role.
* Some experience of leading teams beneficial.
* Solid understanding of the Construction Industry and the supply chain, preferably in drainage and or supply systems.
* Demonstrated experience of developing winning product strategies.
* Strong commercial and financial understanding, ensuring profitable growth.
* Must be able to demonstrate excellent project management ability.
* Can work to tight deadlines and manage numerous projects in conjunction.
* Excellent team player.
* Ability to work on own initiative to deliver results.
* Experience using MS packages.
* Team player and collaborative approach, with the ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
* Personable and passionate about what they do, contributing to the Polypipe culture.
