We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work in a fantastic Primary School in Edmonton Green. The school has an additional resource provision that supports pupils who have difficulty remaining in mainstream classes. The ideal candidate will have recent experience working in schools and strong knowledge of supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of primary-age pupils and contribute to an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities
* Provide support to pupils with SEN, including one-on-one assistance and small group activities.
* Help create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
* Build positive relationships with pupils and staff, fostering a sense of belonging and teamwork.
* Assist with behaviour management and social skills development.
* Contribute to the overall well-being and personal development of pupils with SEN.
Requirements
* A current enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service.
* Recent experience working in schools, particularly with primary-age pupils.
* Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs, including Autism and ADHD.
* Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with pupils and staff.
* Compassionate and patient nature, with a positive and hardworking attitude.
* Proven ability to adapt support strategies to meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.
Hours & Pay
* Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 3:30pm (Monday-Friday)
* £85-95 per day.
* Weekly pay (£(Apply online only) per week).
* Temporary to Permanent – permanent contract available after you have completed 12 academic weeks
