We are actively seeking a talented and detail-oriented Contract BI Engineer to join our dynamic, agile team for an initial three-month contract starting in January. This exciting opportunity is with a leading organisation based in London, where you will work across various internal stakeholders, primarily focusing on designing, developing, and maintaining robust reporting and data solutions that enhance efficiency, automate processes, and drive strategic decision-making. Your primary responsibilities will include gathering, cleaning, and integrating data from diverse sources, developing efficient Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) procedures, and utilizing BI tools like Tableau and Power BI to create clear, impactful dashboards and reports. A deep understanding and application of advanced Excel functionalities, Power Query, and VBA will be essential for designing robust solutions and streamlining repetitive tasks through automation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex business needs into effective technical specifications, reverse engineer existing systems to ensure alignment with best practices, and maintain comprehensive documentation. The ideal candidate possesses proven experience as a BI Engineer, strong proficiency in SQL, data warehousing concepts, and problem-solving skills, with any specific experience within the retail and general supply chain logistics sector being highly advantageous. Bonus skills include experience with Python, Azure/AWS, ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics), and Agile methodologies.
