Job Description

48 hours/Week - Rotational weekends

You will provide a professional, responsive and observant security presence. The Security Officer duties on this site are varied and include elements of reception duties within the Gate House, as well as patrolling dual site inspections.You will be part of a team that are responsible for protecting the access to the site ensuring all security protocols are adhered to as well as protecting the premises from any unlawful activity such as theft or criminal damage.nProvide the face of the company to all staff and visitors ensuring they adhere to the required security protocolsnOffering an excellent Customer Service experiencenPatrolling and securing the different sites.nMonitoring and analysing CCTV camera footage.nGuarding valuables in a secure area.nProtecting the company’s assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issuesnResponding to alarms and emergencies.nCommunicating any irregularities with management.nKeeping an incident report record.nFollowing procedures for various initiatives including fire prevention, traffic control and accident investigationsnChecking visitors in and out of the area.nEscorting visitors around the premises.nEnsuring compliance with government regulationsnChampion all aspects of Health & Safety to highlight the importance to others, including but not limited to:

Operating in accordance with required principles and practice

Work AuthoritynRisk AssessmentsnSafety Walk roundsnToolbox talksnSafety discussion and initiatives involving your teamnFollow all the control of work processes to ensure safety and compliance.nCOSHHnManual HandlingnRisk Assessments (brief and record)nEnsure the workplace is at all times safe and meets appropriate health, safety and environment standards.

Understand the tasks required including risk and control measures.

Qualifications

Door Supervision SIA licencenAbility to interact with employees, contractors, consultants, visitors, and management as well as local police and fire authoritiesnDemonstrates competency in line with the requirements abovenAdequate industry knowledgenThe ability to work proactively and use intuitionnA thorough and keen attention to detailnExcellent concentration skillsnThe ability to remain alert and aware of surroundingsnAn ability to remain patient and calm under pressurenUnderstanding of the technology used within the companynExcellent customer service skillsnAbility to work well with others
