About the RolenThe company is seeking a highly motivated and experienced PI Solicitor or Paralegal to manage an established caseload of Stress at Work claims with the opportunity for future involvement with other psychiatric illness matters. The successful candidate will work under supervision and undertake fee earning work, providing a profitable contribution to the firm.

Key TasksnManaging (under supervision) a caseload of complex and predominantly multi-track personal injury cases for psychiatric illness caused by stress at work.nUndertaking fee earning work and providing a profitable contribution to the firm.nVetting new enquiries.nDiscussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader.nSupporting the case leader in case management and progression.nInstructing experts.nCompiling statements.nCompiling Letter of Claims.nInstructing counsel.nAttending conferences.nAssisting with litigation.nAssisting with departmental development.nGeneral administration duties required on files.

Essential SkillsnExcellent drafting and attention to detail.nProclaim knowledge would be an advantage.nStrong customer care and communication skills.nExcellent organisation skills and time management.nStrong ability to work well under pressure.

ExperiencenThe ideal candidate should have 3-4 years of experience in legal practice.

Essential ExperiencenSolicitor, Legal Executive or experienced Paralegal with a minimum of 5 years’ fee earning experience.nA minimum of 2 years’ experience of dealing with and handling litigated personal injury cases in areas such as Industrial Disease and/or Clinical Negligence.

Desired ExperiencenSome experience in handling Employment Tribunal cases or good knowledge of employment law in consideration of the overlap between personal injury and employment in stress at work cases.nExperience in working with vulnerable clients/individuals.nWorking knowledge of using the case management system Proclaim

Salary and Working HoursnThe salary for this role is dependent upon experience, plus a competitive bonus scheme based on fee income. This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, with flexible home working and at least 3 days requested in the office.
