Procurement Category Officer
- Position: Full Time (37 hours per week)
- Salary: Up to £39,508 per annum
- Location: 3 days per week on site in Maidstone
Your New Role:
This public sector organisation seeks a Category Officer to join their procurement and commercial team. In this role, you’ll specifically support the facilities management and construction (property) category, reporting directly to the Facilities Management and Construction Category Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and promote an innovative approach to procurement and market analysis.
- Provide data-driven supplier analysis and explore new service delivery methods to enhance procurement value and achieve continuous improvement through effective contract management.
- Collaborate with the Category Manager to design and implement local and national strategies, maximizing collaboration opportunities across the Blue Light sector.
Key Experience Required:
- Familiarity with Public Sector procurement, including the Public Contract Regulations 2015, and awareness of the new Public Procurement Act 2023.
- Ideally, experience in procurement related to Property and Facilities Management, including knowledge of the government’s new Find a Tender Service (FTS).
- Willingness to pursue membership in the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), with full support provided.
