Position OverviewnThe IT Construction Engineer is responsible for delivering a professional technical support service to external and internal customers of Vantage. The role requires delivery of solutions to hardware and software problems, whilst working in accordance with company policy and predefined SLA’s.

Essential Job FunctionsnSubject Matter Expert representing the IT department for all construction projects.nStrong background designing and implementing fault-tolerant IT networks.nStrong background designing and building Hypervisors, Windows, and Linux servers.nMaintain deadlines and communication to Construction Project Managers and General Contractors.nWork under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment.nManage multiple one-time and/or ongoing projects.

DutiesnTo provide professional guidance and specialist advice to the business on both systems and project matters ensuring projects are initiated correctly and appropriate levels of governance are applied.nCollaborate with internal partners to design technology solutions to fit the need of project.nDevelopment of business cases, whole life costing analysis and ensuring briefs and feasibility proposals are developed in accordance with business aims.nSupporting projects so they remain within budget and time parameters, identifying and planning effective use of internal and external resources.nManage any incidents / software defects, escalations and change program.nIdentify opportunities to develop systems to meet business requirements, utilizing existing functionality or through systems development.nSupport the Senior Manager, Information Technology in delivering services that are essential to the success of the business

Job RequirementsnStrong technical knowledge covering Windows Server and Desktop, Active Directory, VMWare vSphere/ESX, Office 365, Firewalls, Security, Storage, Backup Technologies, and Networking.nRelevant technical certifications such as CCNA or VCP certification, preferred.nExperience working within mission-critical facilities and/or critical infrastructure, preferred.nProject management experience, preferred.nAbility to communicate well in both oral and written reports and presentation skills.nTravel is expected to be less than 20%, occasionally for training purposes.nPotential employees must complete a background check successfully.
