Help Desk Support Technician - MSP - Manchester - £20K-£27K

Role Overview:

We are seeking a talented Helpdesk Support Technician to join our client's team in Manchester. The successful candidate must come from an MSP background and they will play a key role in providing technical support to our diverse client base, resolving IT issues efficiently, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-line technical support to clients via phone, email, and remote assistance tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, Wi-Fi issues, and email configuration.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate teams for further investigation and resolution.
  • Perform system administration tasks, including user account management and software installations.
  • Document support activities, solutions provided, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
  • Ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.


Requirements:

  • Must have proven experience in a similar helpdesk support role, within an MSP environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to non-technical users.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality support services.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or equivalent, would be advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
