Financial Reporting Manager

The Financial Reporting Manager will lead the Financial Reporting, Tax, and Treasury functions across the different portfolios. Managing a team of three qualified accountants, the role includes overseeing the Group statutory accounts process, taxation, treasury management, and fixed assets management.
Key Responsibilities :nLead Financial Reporting function, providing coaching, support and challenge to enable the development of three direct reports.nStatutory audits completed within 5 months of the year end, and all corporate tax and VAT compliance completed in a timely and accurate manner. Review and support in preparation of the year-end and audit processes.nOversight of an accurate 12-month rolling cash flow forecast produced every week.nReview (and support in preparation where needed) accurate and timely reporting of management information to our external banks, along with bank covenant reporting.nOversight of the internal Capex process and project spending for the various developments across the GroupnStrong and trusting relationships were established with all key stakeholders, including the wider finance team, internal Heads of Department, HMRC, external auditors and tax advisors.nIdentify opportunities for continuous improvement, effectively present ideas and turn them into practical actions. Lead initiatives on continuous improvement of Financial Reporting and support wider group goals and initiatives.nResponsible for balance sheet control ensuring 100% compliance of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis.nMonitor and maintain compliance with internal controls.nKeep abreast of UK accounting and taxation legislation enabling the group to remain fully compliant in respective areas.
The ideal candidatenStrong technical accounting and taxation skills.nKeen eye for detail with strong organisational and time-management skills.nExperience of successfully managing and leading a team.nExcellent communicator, building meaningful relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders.nTeam player with an ability to contribute to wider Splendid group goals.nProactive self starter with a positive approach to problem solving.nHospitality experience is advantageous.nExperience of operating in a similar role and in particular, leading transformational change.nQualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) is essential.
