About the role:
As an SEN-TA – ASD Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with ASD across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. Your primary focus will be on implementing tailored interventions, supporting individual learning plans, and fostering a positive learning environment that promotes academic and social development.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in an educational setting is essential.
• A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students.
• Knowledge of effective strategies and interventions for supporting students with ASD, including sensory integration techniques.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support and autism awareness are highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with ASD, ensuring their specific learning needs are met.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
• Use your expertise to adapt learning materials and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents/carers on student achievement and development.
