As a Senior Process Design Engineer, you will lead and deliver high-quality engineering designs that meet stringent industry standards. Your role will involve working closely with a talented Engineering Design Team, ensuring that all technical outputs are robust, compliant, and optimised for success. You will also mentor junior engineers, guiding them through complex projects and fostering a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the creation of technical design outputs with a focus on quality, compliance, and innovation.
Act as the discipline lead on key projects, providing strategic direction and technical oversight.
Develop and optimise designs that are both cost-effective and buildable, ensuring they meet the highest safety and environmental standards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design activities with procurement and on-site operations.
Drive the adoption of digital design tools and promote continuous improvement within the team.
Mentor and develop early-career engineers, helping to build the next generation of engineering talent. What You Need to Succeed
Extensive experience in process calculations, mass and heat balances, and hydraulic design.
Proficiency in developing process block diagrams, PFDs, and P&IDs.
Leadership experience in HAZOP and DSEAR is advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholder relationships effectively.
Chartered Engineer status or a commitment to achieving it is preferred. Qualifications
A degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
A proven track record in the water and wastewater sector, with a deep understanding of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
