This role will be an integral part of the safeguarding team, who are the first point of contact for learners and staff members for all Safeguarding concerns at The Skills Network. They will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of learners and staff. 
They will be responsible for monitoring safeguarding policies and procedures to create a safe and inclusive learning environment. The Safeguarding Officer will work collaboratively with staff, students, and external agencies to promote a culture of safeguarding and support the educational success of learners.
They will support the Safeguarding Manager in triaging and administrating the safeguarding, prevent and child protection referrals that are made. They will support the coordination of referrals contributing reports for relevant meetings and keeping careful records of actions. They will support the delivery of training to staff and update relevant policies, procedures, and guidance as necessary.
