As the HR Manager, you will take on a pivotal role in managing the full spectrum of HR activities within the business in a standalone capacity. From recruitment, onboarding and employee relations to performance management and organisational development, you will ensure that the HR function supports the company’s strategic objectives and fosters a positive workplace culture.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage all HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment law and company policies.
* Lead recruitment efforts, from job design and posting to interviewing and onboarding.
* Provide expert advice and guidance to management and employees on HR matters, including employee relations, performance management, and development.
* Develop and implement HR strategies that align with business goals, including initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and organizational development.
* Manage the HR team, providing leadership, support, and professional development opportunities.
* Monitor and report on HR metrics to identify trends and inform decision-making.
* Ensure the effective management of HR systems and records, maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A strategic mindset with the ability to implement HR initiatives that support business objectives.
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with management experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* In-depth knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
* Experience in handling complex employee relations issues and driving performance improvement initiatives.
* CIPD qualification (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience is highly desirable
