Team Management & Leadership
You will lead and develop a team of Production, Warehousing, Installation, PM, H&S and customer support professionals to deliver exceptional results. Leading by example, you will foster a culture of teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Reporting to the Board, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership team to deliver on customer needs and ensure alignment of operations with business goals and strategies.
You will also identify and liaise with third party installation contactors when required.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards including Health and Safety requirements. Develop and implement safety protocols and conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential issues.
Operational Strategy
By developing and executing operational strategies you will meet company objectives and improve efficiency. Through the monitoring and analysis of performance metrics you will identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
Procurement and Production Management
Working with the MD you will be responsible for procurement and the expansion of the existing product range. You will lead warehousing to optimise inventory management and develop relationships with key suppliers.
With responsibility for the full life cycle of the products you will also co-ordinate logistics
Financial Management
You will work closely with the FC and MD to develop and manage your operational budget to ensure the cost-effective use of resources. By monitoring expenses and implementing cost saving initiatives you will support the commercial wellbeing of the business.
Attributes
Proven experience as an Operations Director or similar role, ideally with experience of installing electrical/electronic products
Excellent problem-solving skills and financially savvy
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and other operational software
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects to deadlines
Excellent planning and project management skills
First class analysis and reporting skills
Can do attitude with the gravitas to inspire your team
