LAW Absolute is recruiting on behalf of a large public sector body, operating across the country to regulate the practice of professionals within healthcare. They are seeking a fitness to practise lawyer to join them on a permanent basis, who has previous experience working in a regulatory environment.


The role is being offered on a part-time (0.5) basis, however full-time applicants may also be considered.


The office is located in South Yorkshire and you will be required to attend at least once every two weeks.


The role will focus on the initial stage of triage and investigations, although you will work collaboratively with colleagues across all stages of the fitness to practise process.


To apply you will be:

  • A qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives with minimum 3 years’ PQE
  • Experienced in advising on fitness to practise processes, including handling complex and high-profile cases, reviewing internal policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance
  • Looking to work in a growing in-house legal services team
  • Able to commute to the office in South Yorkshire, for 1 day per fortnight


The salary will start at £45,462 per annum (FTE), and rise to £47,682 per annum (FTE) after you have successfully competed the initial 6-month probation period.
