Location: Although Birmingham is preferable, this role can be based in various UK locations.
 
Role & Responsibilities:
As a Principal Structural Engineer, you will lead and manage a dynamic team of engineers and technicians, focusing exclusively on Data Centre projects. This role offers the opportunity to take a lead of various scale projects from initial concept through to completion, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, innovative structural designs that meet the specific demands of the Data Centre sector.
 
·Lead structural engineering projects with a focus on Data Centres.
·Manage and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
·Engage with global clients and stakeholders to deliver bespoke solutions.
·Oversee all stages of project development, from concept design to final delivery.
Requirements:
 
·Education: BEng/MSc (or equivalent) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
·Professional Status: Chartered Engineer (CEng) with ICE or IStructE (or working towards considered)
Skills & Experience:
Minimum of 5 years within a design consultancy, ideally with significant experience in Data Centre projects or similar environments such as healthcare, industrial facilities or other steel framed structures.
Strong leadership and project management abilities.
Exceptional communication skills and client-facing experience.
A proactive, ambitious approach to driving projects and team success.
