An Assistant Accountant is required for a client based in Fleet, Hampshire. This position will offer a hybrid working pattern. You will be reporting into the Finance Manager and providing support as an Assistant Accountant across the month-end preparation and close. This role will enable you to join a collaborative working environment with the view that this assignment will be extended beyond the initial period of one month.
Assistant Accountant - About The Role
This position requires someone who is already operating at either a Bookkeeper or Assistant Accountant level and as such will be able to make a quick impact on the team. The role will be covering the full life cycle of financial reporting.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Cash flow forecasting
* Assist with both purchase ledger and expense queries
* Journal entries for the group at month end
* Review of balance sheet, resolving any discrepancies
* General ledger management
* Manage and prepare the quarterly VAT calculations
* Intercompany payments and reconciliations
The successful Assistant Accountant will have/be:
* AAT Level 4 qualified
* Available immediately or imminently
* Have the ability to commute to the office in Fleet
Assistant Accountant - Benefits
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata)
