ETF Sales Associate, French-Speaking

First Trust is an asset manager with over $200bn AUM specialising in ETFs. We were founded and are headquartered in Chicago but now have offices in a range of global locations across Europe, North America and Asia.

We are looking for highly motivated, competitive self-starters to join our ETF sales team in our EMEA head office here in London (this is an office-based role). Our current opening is for a French-speaking role so you must possess native-level proficiency.

Demonstrable success in a competitive environment is necessary. Industry experience is not essential but you must have a basic knowledge of financial markets.

You will be paid a competitive basic salary along with an uncapped performance-related bonus.

Primary Responsibilities

Working with your external wholesaling partner, you will be responsible for ETF distribution to French-speaking clients in locations such as Monaco and Geneva. Day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Identifying and contacting prospective clients via phone call, email, and social with the aim of developing relationships and booking meetings for your external partner. You will be expected to make a minimum number of outbound sales calls per day.nRelationship management - Maintaining existing client relationships, making follow-up calls.nManaging the CRM system, ensuring calls and meetings are tracked correctly and client data is kept up to date.nBuilding trust with clients through ongoing communication, utilising First Trust resources (market commentaries, webinars, lunch presentations etc.).nDealing with inbound client requests for information, portfolio analysis, fund comparisons etc.nDriving attendance to and attending events, lunches and dinners.nDeveloping market intelligence, and keeping up to date with market news and industry trends to assist in client conversations.nDeveloping extensive knowledge of the First Trust ETF range.

Must Have

An undergraduate degree (or highly relevant professional experience)nKnowledge of financial marketsnThe desire to learn new concepts and deepen your existing financial knowledgenDemonstrable experience in selling successfullynExperience in a competitive environment - this could be sporting, professional etc.nNative-level fluency in French

A sporting background is preferred, though not required.nStrong organisational skills - you will be responsible for managing a pipeline of opportunities.nExperience in lead generation - experience utilising tools such as Sales Navigator would be advantageous.
