JRRL are looking for a Part Time Post Room Assistant to join their client in Sidcup. You will be responsible for maintaining smooth operations within the Post Room and providing general support to the office team. Hours: Thursday and Friday 8:30 to 16:00 with 30 minutes lunch break. (There may be times when you are required to start at 7am to open the building once you are fully trained).  There will be an eliment of manual handling in the job.
Duties for the Post Room Assistant
Post Room:
Delivery and collection of internal post/parcels to and from various departments and offices.
Delivery and collection of external post/parcels via the Post Office and couriers.
Operation of internal/external online systems (e.g. booking couriers).
Manage the external postal/courier accounts including delivery and checking of associated invoices.
Reception:
Opening and closing the building at beginning and end of working hours as and where required.
Monitor and provide cover for the reception area.
Greeting visitors to the building and informing relevant staff of their arrival.
Office Services:
Provide support to the office team with related queries as and when required.
Support the managing of external contractors carrying out office related tasks.
Input to HSE activities such as risk assessments etc.
Provide support in office moves.
Provide basic maintenance services (e.g. changing light bulbs) within office HSE guidelines.
Carry out regular HSE testing (e.g. fire/emergency lights).
Stationery:
Liaise with stationery and print companies to ensure best cost and quality provision.
Maintain stationery levels and liaise with stationery providers.
Checking invoices for stationery and furniture.
Personal Specification for the Post Room Assistant
Strong organisational skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
Able to integrate within a team and work on your own initiative.
This Post Room Assistant role is a key support role within a business that offers desirable working hours and career opportunities. The salary stated is the yearly salary.  The actual salary for this role is just over £12 per hour
