Are you an experienced QHSE Manager?
If so this is a great opportunity to join a market leading Steel Supplier, specialising in Slit Coil.
Ideally you will have a background within a Metal Supplier, manufacturing or similar industrial industry sector, where you can demonstrate a track record in improving and implementing both health and safety, and quality policies and procedures.
This is a role that requires good Leadership and Managerial qualities, being able to lead a team by example and implement the quality to the upmost standards.
The main purpose of the QHSE Manager is to:
* To ensure that the ISO 9001 , ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are all operated efficiently and consistently
* Responsible for all internal and external audits
* To be a point of contact for all interested parties in regards to:
- Quality – customers , suppliers & third party auditors
- Health and Safety – customers, suppliers & HSE
- Environment - customers, suppliers & Environment Agency
* When required, work with managers and supervisors to respond to any HR issues that need addressing, this includes reviewing and communicating company policies
Key Duties:
* Managing QHSE staff across the company
* Managing customer complaints ensuring staff respond in a timely and efficient manner.
* Prioritising the department’s workload.
* Managing health and safety training for all employees across the group.
* Ensuring inductions are carried out for all new starters.
* Managing accident investigations
* Making sure health and safety toolbox talks are planned and delivered as per the company KPIs
Health and Safety specific duties
* To take reasonable care for the health and safety of themselves and that of other persons who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
* To fully co-operate regarding any duty or requirement imposed on the company, or on any individual by or under any of the relevant statutory provisions, so far as is necessary, to enable that duty or requirement to be performed or complied with.
* Be proactive in eliminating any hazard, which may be discovered at, or in the vicinity of, the place of work.
Job details
* Basic salary up to £45k DOE
* Mon - Thurs 8.00am - 5.00pm (4.00pm Fri)
* 22 days holiday plus BH and Xmas shutdown
