The Role

If so, we want you on our team As an Employment Advisor, you will play a crucial role in guiding job seekers through their employment journey, providing expert advice, and connecting them with employers who value their unique talents.
Key responsibilities
* Build strong, supportive relationships with clients to understand their career aspirations, strengths, and areas for development.
* Provide personalised career advice, resume writing assistance, and interview preparation to help clients present their best selves to potential employers.
* Utilise your knowledge of the job market to match clients with suitable employment opportunities, ensuring a good fit for both the individual and the employer.
* Develop and conduct workshops on job search strategies, networking, professional development, and other relevant topics to enhance clients' employability.
* Build and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job openings, advocate for clients, and stay informed about industry trends and hiring needs.
* Monitor participants progress, maintain accurate records, and provide regular updates and reports on employment outcomes.
* Work closely with colleagues, community partners, and other stakeholders to create a supportive network for clients and promote their success.

Here at PeoplePlus, we deliver the Restart Scheme on behalf of the DWP in Kent, the North East, and Wales.
The Scheme gives enhanced support for eligible claimants to find jobs, along with personalised support including health and wellbeing advice and a tailored action plan.
Our support ensures that individuals are ready for the right job at the right time. In the first year of the scheme PeoplePlus supported nearly 15,000 people in their search for fresh employment, with nearly 4,000 starting work. We also provide up to 12 months of support for the individual once they have started work.
