Position: Psychology Teacher
Location: Peterborough
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-Time, 8:30am - 3:30pm
Role Overview:
As a Psychology Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons, planning the curriculum, and assessing student progress. You will play a key role in fostering a deep understanding of psychological concepts and encouraging critical thinking among students. This position requires someone who is not only knowledgeable in psychology but also passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality Psychology lessons for KS4 and KS5 students.
Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the department.
What We're Looking For:
Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience: Previous experience teaching Psychology at the secondary level is preferred.
Skills: Strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire and engage students.
DBS: An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
