Quality Assurance Technician

The Role: Quality Assurance Technician
This role is based within our head office in Runcorn and has the following main responsibilities:-
- Releasing product from the production line, including organoleptic assessment of finished product and compare against gold standards
- Out quality control checks (e.g. CCP, label verification, weights, shift documentation) to ensure compliance.
- Out internal audits as per schedule (e.g. glass, GMP, traceability, QMS)
- Environmental monitoring and product sampling and ensure results are reported accurately
- Investigations for customer complaints and internal non-conformances
- Non-conformances for shift based issues and where necessary place product on hold
- Shift based reports to ensure information is handed over to teammates accurately
The successful candidate needs to have a good understanding of food manufacturing and hygiene regulations

- Food proven experience in QA / QC
- Organised and excellent verbal and written skills
- Literate with the ability to work with various Microsoft programs
- Relationship building skills and ability to influence at various levels
- Multi-task and deliver to deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritise, meet deadline and manage changing priorities
- Ability to be a flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment
Desirables
- Understanding of / experience in FMCG Food and/or Sports Nutrition
- Working in an E-Commerce vertically integrated business/or Food Manufacturing
- Auditor training
- Excel knowledge
