The Role: Quality Assurance Technician



This role is based within our head office in Runcorn and has the following main responsibilities:-


  • Releasing product from the production line, including organoleptic assessment of finished product and compare against gold standards
  • Out quality control checks (e.g. CCP, label verification, weights, shift documentation) to ensure compliance.
  • Out internal audits as per schedule (e.g. glass, GMP, traceability, QMS)
  • Environmental monitoring and product sampling and ensure results are reported accurately
  • Investigations for customer complaints and internal non-conformances
  • Non-conformances for shift based issues and where necessary place product on hold
  • Shift based reports to ensure information is handed over to teammates accurately



The successful candidate needs to have a good understanding of food manufacturing and hygiene regulations

  • Food proven experience in QA / QC
  • Organised and excellent verbal and written skills
  • Literate with the ability to work with various Microsoft programs
  • Relationship building skills and ability to influence at various levels
  • Multi-task and deliver to deadlines
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise, meet deadline and manage changing priorities
  • Ability to be a flexible and work hard, both independently and in a team environment



Desirables



  • Understanding of / experience in FMCG Food and/or Sports Nutrition
  • Working in an E-Commerce vertically integrated business/or Food Manufacturing
  • Auditor training
  • Excel knowledge
