to guide and manage portfolio responsibilities for a broad range of lines & a wide team of experienced Underwriters focusing on International business. The role involves developing underwriting strategies, navigating market conditions, and ensuring profitable performance. The CUO will also be a key contact for external partners, contributing to the formulation of business plans and supporting regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities will Include:n· Recommend underwriting appetite and strategy across all classes within scope.nActively participate in Governance and Oversight, including setting Underwriting Authorities and overseeing peer review outputs.nManage underwriting discipline, performance, and act as a key contact for external partners.nContribute to the development of business plans across all classes & continents.nOversee underwriting standards, drive quality, and balance capital utilization.nMonitor accumulations and provide recommendations on reinsurance protection.nContribute to staff training and development, ensuring class knowledge is up-to-date.

The ideal candidate should have prior experience in underwriting management, along with a proven track record in navigating Lloyd’s planning, governance, reporting, and oversight.
