Here at Nexus Claims Management, we are looking for an experienced Claims Adjuster. They will work closely with the Claims Manager and wider Claims Team, providing a best in class claims service to our capacity providers, policyholders, underwriters and brokers. Predominantly handling Financial Institutions, Directors & Officers & Professional Indemnity (“Financial Lines”) claims.


Responsibilities:


  • Proactively manage Financial Lines claims from first notification to settlement, ensuring timely and efficient handling. This includes assessing policy coverage, legal liability, and quantum, along with effective diary and system/file management. Accurate claims notes, peer reviews, and participation in underwriting meetings are essential.
  • Provide commentary on significant notifications, trends, or developments. Report large losses and refer claims to capacity providers when they fall outside of authority limits.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key brokers, providing feedback as needed. Ensure Nexus Claims consistently acts as an effective Third-Party Administrator (TPA) and adheres to delegated authorities and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Collaborate with underwriters and other claims professionals, offering insights into claims experiences, contract wordings, and claims data. Provide feedback during renewals to ensure a quality and cost-effective service within required timeframes.
  • Identify and escalate claims-related issues when necessary.

Experience:


  • Previous experience in handling Financial Lines claims.
  • Solid understanding of the insurance claims market and processes.
  • Proficient in IT, with working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
