About Vypr's Product team Our cross-functional, agile Product team brings together content and product designers, delivery managers, engineers and product managers to solve valuable business problems and deliver against Vypr’s product roadmap. As Vypr is a scale-up, pace is a priority for us and so we don’t work the same way as Product teams in larger organisations. This means finding someone that’s the right fit for this role isn’t easy (which is why we've been advertising it for a while now). This will be our fifth design hire and our second content designer. It’s for you if you want to work in a team: That values and understands how important content design is Where you don’t have to navigate bureaucracy or complex sign-off processes to be able to do your best work Where the speed of delivery means you wont have to wait months (or years) to see your work launch Where you can help set content design direction, rather than get stuck following already established, prohibitively complex guidelines That values progress over perfection About you You'll: Have worked in an agile product development team across various stages of the product development process, from discovery to iteration of live features Have a background in content design or UX writing with robust experience in an in-house team or agency Have good command of design tools such as Figma, Miro and Notion Be comfortable talking to users and, knowledgeable about user research best practice You'll also be: A clear communicator . Collaborative . You move between individual, focussed work and group collaboration easily. You have a good instinct for when to partner with other team members (not just designers), and canvassing for feedback and critique is a key part of how you work. You know that building strong relationships with other colleagues is crucial to you understanding problems and distilling them into content that is useful and easily understood. Flexible . You are effective at any point in the product development process. You know how to break down complex problems using sketches, prototypes, wireframes or written documents to increase your understanding and make progress. If youre working through something thats already well defined you appreciate the clear goal and focus in on how to deliver to it. Pragmatic . You understand we have big growth ambitions and can balance quality with speed of shipping. You consider context and practical implications when making decisions and know when to compromise and when to be steadfast in your approach. A problem solver . You enjoy breaking down problems and using evidence to find effective solutions. Whether its data or user research, you seek out information that helps you make well-informed decisions. Organised . You understand that turning an idea into a feature in a multidisciplinary team involves many steps, so you take a methodical and detail-oriented approach.
