Alexander Steele Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading food manufacturer based in Worcestershire supplying to major retailers. Due to a period of exciting growth, they are looking to appoint a HR Advisor to work closely with the HR Manager and wider function to improve existing processes and reinforce company culture.

The role:nReporting to the HR Manager, the HR Advisor will support the HR function in managing all aspects of the employee lifecycle and will work with autonomy on internal matters and projects.nThe successful candidate is tasked with the responsibility of establishing strong relationships with staff across all levels of seniority, immersing themselves in daily operations, identifying areas of HR process improvement and carrying out ad hoc project work. They will also be the go to for staff and line managers to advise on internal matters.

The key responsibilities of the role include:nAct as a first point of contact for colleagues seeking advicenManage staff grievances, absences and disciplinariesnStreamline existing HR process and proceduresnEstablish strong relationships with both permanent and agency workersnSupport the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to resignation

Candidate requirements:nThe business is looking for an individual who has experience within the food industry. They are also willing to consider candidates from a manufacturing background. You must be a strong communicator, able to work in a fast paced environment, and able to manage a varied workload.nWorking in a HR role at a similar level within a food or manufacturing businessnLevel 5 (beneficial but not essential)nTo demonstrate clear examples of HR deliverynEngaging with operational teams and factory workers
