Recann Recruitment is seeking a talented and motivated Test Lead to join our client's dynamic team in Cheadle. Our client, a prestigious organization committed to improving global health, needs your expertise to ensure the quality of their critical systems.


About the Role


As a Test Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the quality of software delivery processes. You will lead a team of test analysts, work closely with development leads and product owners, and ensure that the highest standards of software quality are met. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects in a supportive and innovative environment. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for a balance of office and remote work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership: Provide direction and support to your team, fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement tools and processes to assure quality in software delivery, focusing on delivering new features and improving existing functionality.
  • Agile Practices: Promote Agile and DevOps best practices, including Kanban and Scrum methodologies.
  • Testing Strategies: Drive the introduction of test automation into continuous integration and continuous delivery processes.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Build and maintain excellent relationships with development leads and product owners to understand requirements and priorities.
  • Technical Oversight: Ensure technical documentation is up-to-date and that software complies with security standards.


Requirements

  • Significant experience in testing and ensuring quality on complex, business-critical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
  • Proven experience in leading a test team and working with product owners.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills.
  • Formal ISTQB certification (desirable).
