Director, Business Development MiningnLocation: London

Purpose:

The person occupying the role of Business Development Director will be responsible for developing and executing a growth and diversification strategy. This role is mandated to identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with potential customers, and ultimately close new business deals.

Main Accountabilities:

Develops and executes the business development plan to generate incremental revenue.nIdentifies, evaluates, and executes new business opportunities aligned with the overall strategy.nWorks with internal stakeholders to understand the company's strengths and value proposition to develop strategies that result in sustainable and profitable growth.nProvides periodic updates on the progress of business development initiatives against the set strategic objectivesnMobilizes internal stakeholders to support new and current business development initiatives.nUtilizes analytics tools to assess viable business development opportunities by leveraging internal and external data.nProactively builds positive relationships inside and outside the organization to support the company strategy and vision.nLook beyond the company's current context to discern future growth opportunities.nActs as an advisor to the whole business on matters related to business development.

Education and experience:

University degree or equivalent.nGood understanding of Mining IndustrynBusiness development experiencenKnowledge of financial evaluations and ratiosnStrong communication and influencing skillsnEssential to have international experience and ability to influence and work across various cultures. Ideally speaks various languages.
