Finance Manager

We have partnered with a global manufacturing business who currently have a requirement to appoint the above role in order to cover a period of maternity and we’d be looking for the successful individual to start in post by the 1st July at the very latest, ideally sooner.
As no. 2 in Finance within their UK Operations, you’ll provide oversight, leadership and development of the UK Finance team (4), ensuring the books are properly kept, timely closed on a monthly and quarterly basis, whilst maintaining robust internal controls and accounting procedures.
Core responsibilities within the role:
Ensure the Finance team operates efficiently to support the businessnTake the lead on the preparation and delivery of insightful monthly management accounts and analysisnCarry out full reviews in relation to actuals versus budget and forecastnPlay a key role in the forecasting and planning functionnEnsure comprehensive accounting and processes are in place for revenue recognition, inventory and COGSnEnsure full adherence with statutory requirements, income taxes, deferred tax and other regulations within scopenPartner with other business functions to deliver on organisational objectivesnDevelop a high performing Finance team by planning and directing accordingly
It’s a fast-paced environment and the role requires someone who’s not only accustomed to that level of pace but someone who will excel in that environment and is adaptable to change. In addition, someone who will bring real drive and energy to the role and in many respects be able to hit the ground running, with the ability to add true value to the business. The term self-starter gets banded about a lot these days but this is very much the case and requirement with this role.
In order to be deemed suitable for the role you must be fully qualified. The ideal candidate will also come from a manufacturing background, albeit desirable. Previous experience of product costing and COGS would also be seen as being highly desirable.
As highlighted above, our client is looking for a fairly quick turnaround on this appointment so that the successful individual can be in place over the next month or so. We would therefore be keen to hear from interested and suitable applicants at the earliest opportunity.
On offer is a salary of circa. £70,000, an annual bonus, pension, private healthcare and various additional benefits and perks.
