Procurement Manager

We are currently partnering with a CleanTech client based in Surrey to source a Procurement Manager to join their ever-growing team. The successful candidate will support the build-out of the procurement function as the organisation scales. This will require the procurement manager to work on efficient stock/components flow for R&D and product development as well as liaising with suppliers to ensure excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of a Greenfield procurement strategy
- Champion best practise and compliance internally and externally
- Manage purchase, inventory and internal stakeholders to adjust purchasing according to demand
- Act as the first port of call for the engineering department for supplier
- Execute excellent contract management holding suppliers accountable to SLAs & KPIs
- Lead on end-to-end sourcing from PQQ to contracts and supplier onboarding
- Travel to meet suppliers (nationally and internationally)
Experience/Qualification
- Procurement experience in manufacturing (automotive or hardware is preferable)
- Excellent commercial skills
- Strong communicator with the ability to negotiate
- Astute financial awareness
- Experience in quotation analysis and leveraging relationships to challenge suppliers on pricing where necessary
- Experience creating and running ERP processes
- CIPs (MCIPS preferable)
