Overview of the Role:
We have partnered with property management company Davlea Estates, on the recruitment of a brand-new role, as Operations Manager of Cornmill Shopping Centre, in Darlington.
As the Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Centre Manager to ensure the seamless operation of the shopping centre. Your role will involve managing both hard and soft services, assisting in delivering the annual business plan and service charge, overseeing facility maintenance activities, and supporting various operational projects. Your focus will be on enhancing operational performance, security, health and safety, environmental sustainability, and the overall customer experience.
Your responsibilities will be:
* Manage contractors, administer the Permit to Work System, and conduct weekly Health and Safety inspections.
* Ensure site safety, security, and cleanliness, and oversee security teams and emergency systems.
* Assist in developing the annual business plan and service charge budget, and process operational supplier invoices.
This role offers the opportunity to:
* Play a crucial role in the seamless operation of a dynamic shopping centre.
* Implement and oversee initiatives in security, health and safety, and environmental sustainability.
* Collaborate with a dedicated team to achieve common goals and develop your career within the facilities management sector.
The right candidate will be:
* A strong leader with excellent motivational and communication skills, proficient in problem-solving.
* Experienced in facilities management within retail, hospitality, or commercial property sectors, and knowledgeable in business administration principles.
* Highly organized, committed to enhancing customer experiences, adaptable to changing environments, and willing to work weekends as Duty Manager.
The salary for this is dependant on experience.
