About our client:
Our client is a leading main contractor specializing in large-scale construction projects within the healthcare, education and leisure sectors. They pride themselves on their commitment to quality, safety, and innovation. We are in partnership to source an experienced Project Manager to oversee a significant healthcare facility revamp project valued at £20 million, based out of our client's eastern office.
Job Description:
As the Project Manager for the healthcare facility revamp, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of this high-value project, from planning to execution. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including healthcare providers, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies, to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. You will be number one on-site, reporting to a visiting Senior Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a detailed project plan, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for the £20 million revamp.
* Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among all stakeholders.
* Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations, building codes, and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and gather feedback.
* Supervise procurement processes for materials and services required for the project, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.
* Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including financial reports, schedules, and progress reports.
* Promote a culture of safety and compliance within the project team and the wider organization.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is advantageous. (not essential)
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, particularly within healthcare projects of similar scale and complexity.
* Solid understanding of construction regulations, healthcare building standards, and project management methodologies.
* Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
* Proficiency in project management software and tools.
* Track record of delivering schemes for a tier 1 main contractor
